Project Apollo is a project run by Pebbles In A Shoebox and our mission is to distribute feminine hygiene kits called Apollo Kits to underprivileged women. Apollo Kits will comprise a reusable silicone menstrual cup, sustainable soap flakes, infographics on how to use the relevant items and how to reach out should the beneficiaries face any issues. We hope for these kits to be able to supplement and curb the cost of purchasing disposable feminine hygiene products such as menstrual pads and tampons. Hopefully, through project Apollo, we are able to make life slightly better for these amazing women with our little acts of kindness.
We aim to distribute Apollo Kits to underprivileged women across multiple areas and will tackle this issue locally as well as internationally. Locally, we aim to reach out to underprivileged women in children's homes, girls under their school's Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), women in underprivileged families and other women who reach out to us. Internationally, we strive to reach out to environmental refugees, rural areas in neighbouring countries and individual homeless women chanced upon during personal trips.
Through collaborations with other organisations, fundraisers and networking, Pebbles will purchase and assemble Apollo Kits to later be distributed. Pebbles is collaborating with The Period Co for discounted reusable silicone menstrual cups by Lunette and with The Powered By Plant for sustainable and ethically sources soap flakes!
